The research touches on a variety of areas, from molecular and protein production to ecosystems and from genetic code to behavior. Here you can also read more about the individual researchers, not least those you yourself will have as a teacher.

The education at the Department of Biology have a very strong connection to research. Since all teachers are researchers, our educations are continuously adapted to the current state of knowledge. Via your teachers, you as a student come into direct contact with the research, both during the courses and not least when you do your degree project. During your education, you train for a career in research, among other things by critically reviewing data and scientific articles, conducting your own studies where you collect data and analyze these and by writing and presenting scientific reports.

After completing a master's degree, between 40 and 50% of our students go on to postgraduate education.
